A few weeks ago I wrote an article titled “Make Linkedin Great Again” outlining my frustration and disappointment with the platforms policy regarding connectivity and followers. I want to reiterate that this post is not a rant nor for anyone who believes I am standing on a soapbox whining about LIONs share of followers. This is a post directed to all the incredible people who woke up this morning who have been following me for the past two years and who may no longer have access to read what I post/write.
At a time where our world is unstable, uncertain and parts are intolerable, I have always looked to Linkedin and the people in my network as something stable, certain and engaging. I watch the news and my heart breaks for what’s happening around the world. I committed myself to supporting and growing my network and followers week in and week out so that I could reach as many people as possible with the hopes of putting a smile on their face, a spring in their step and a spark in their personal and professional development.
We live in a world of choices and once again I find myself at an impasse. Stick with a platform and service (which I pay for) that no longer serves me, values me or I my connections or move on.
Today I am sorely disappointed with Linkedin for falling short in their promises to be a catalyst for connections, as this feels more like a dictatorship than a relationship.
