reminders moms are special

Dedicated to my Mom, my wife of our kids and every other Mom who openly, lovingly and tirelessly devotes their time, attention and hearts to there loved ones.

Mother {muhth-er} – noun
1. One person who does the work of twenty. (For free)

Although sometimes referred to as Mommy, Mamma or just I Need You Now, there is no denying a Moms sacrifice, dedication and boundless love that’s rightfully reserved for their family. It goes without saying (at least in my book) that being a Mom let alone a parent is one of the toughest (and selfless) jobs on the planet.

I was fortunate to be raised by a loving mom who was not only committed to raising myself and my brother but was the anchor and rock to our entire family. It was her emotional, mental and physical strength that made everything in life possible even when it appeared impossible.

Here are 17 reminders of why you should let your Mom know you love her this upcoming Mother’s Day:

  1. She gave you life (literally).
  2. She was always there for you day or night.
  3. She protected you from birth.
  4. She offered you as much security as possible.
  5. She is always put you first.
  6. She always forgave you.
  7. She put up with you (sorry but it’s true sometimes).
  8. She loved you even when you didn’t love yourself.
  9. She listened to you when you needed it most.
  10. She knew the importance of tough love.
  11. She shared her life’s lessons openly with you.
  12. She supported all of your ideas and endeavors.
  13. She was patient.
  14. She went the extra mile to provide.
  15. She was proud of your successes.
  16. She’s your friend.
  17. She gave you the confidence to take risks.

Final thoughts:
Although Mother’s Day happens once a year, that doesn’t mean you can’t let her know how special she is at any given moment. This Mother’s Day, take a moment and let her know how much she means to you. Mom, I love you with all my heart…thank you for all your sacrifices; without your love nothing would be possible.
