5 Signs You’re A “Wanna-preneur” & Not An Entrepreneur
The Hustle Is Real

With the rise of young entrepreneurial CEOs, the idea of the “hustle” is everywhere. However, is it all it’s cracked up to be? The word itself has two very different meanings: busy activity versus a swindle. Are people who claim to be hustling actually achieving anything, or are they just talk? Adopting the right entrepreneur mindset can set the record straight.

Indeed, many promote the “hustle” with catchy quotes, but often lack real results.  In contrast, true substance comes from success and tangible achievements. As the saying goes, “Hustle in silence and let the success make the noise.”  Ultimately, no matter how trendy it sounds, nothing replaces hard work, passion, perseverance, and potential, all of which contribute to a mindset fit for an entrepreneur.

5 Signs You Lack the Entrepreneur Mindset

Still unsure if you have the hustle within? Then consider these five signs you might not be cut out for the entrepreneurial life:

  1. Shunning the Spotlight: Every performance needs an audience. If you prefer to avoid the stage, entrepreneurship might not be for you. Entrepreneurs need to make themselves and their ideas known, which is a key part of the mindset for an entrepreneur.
  2. Building Someone Else’s Dream: The famous quote, “Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs,” rings true. There’s nothing wrong with working for someone else, but ensure you believe in their vision.
  3. Craving Security: The entrepreneurial life is unpredictable. Every day is different, and challenges are constant. If you can’t handle uncertainty, it’s a sign this path isn’t for you.
  4. Avoiding Conflict: Conflict is inevitable in business. Obstacles are opportunities in disguise. If you can’t see that, it’s best to look away from the entrepreneur mindset.
  5. Preferring to Follow: Leaders forge their own paths. While many are content to follow, successful entrepreneurs take the lead on their dreams and passions.

Final Thoughts:

Whether starting a business, backing a new venture, or pursuing a groundbreaking idea, you’ll need to step into the light with an entrepreneur mindset guiding you.

What’s one quality an entrepreneur must possess to be successful?
